Warwick Farm (Wed)

Warwick Farm Racing Tips – Wed July 10

We will be at Warwick Farm this Wednesday.

Track: Heavy 9. Rail: Out 3m entire straight.

Best Bet: Race 1 – JUDICATOR

Race 1: 2YO OSC Handicap 1600m

JUDICATOR (1) had no luck on debut, he ran third but had no luck in the straight and should have finished a lot closer. He then went to Hawkesbury and bolted in after a perfect ride, he maps well again and Clipperton goes on, losing nothing there.

WAR BARON (4) is still maiden after 7 starts, he is likely to be last in the small field which may be against him. If ECHO LAD (3) goes hard in front, he may be the one finishing best. He has plenty of speed and looks the leader, he has had his chances but will give a sight. SATIN RAIN (6) was good late last time after being held-up at a vital stage, the blinkers go on for the first time also.

Race 2: 3YO Maiden Plate Set Weights 1200m

LOCHITA (6) is on debut for the Waterhouse/Bott team, she was brilliant in a recent trial at Randwick where she was on the speed and never asked for the full effort throughout when winning. There is not a lot to beat here, expect that she will be well backed and start a clear favourite.

EMERGENT (1) has been very costly at his last couple including fresh at Newcastle, he didn’t come on at all but the SP profile says he must have the ability. SHARAPOVA (7) looks the only other slight winning chance, she is fresh and did place once at her first prep. She will be giving them a start. HAVANA STORM (5) next best but place only.

Race 3: BM70 Handicap 1100m

LASHES (4) won twice last prep, she resumed at Wyong with an even effort up outside the speed but just found one better on the day. She was a second-up winner last campaign and maps to control the race outside the lead.

BLACK MAGNUM (3) is resuming, he has shown consistency through his first two preps and has trialed well. He was right up on the speed at his first two runs last campaign so should go forward at the start. TRANSMITTER (5) has only been fair this time in but will find this easier and maps well. WANDER (2) draws to get a soft run fresh and has trialed well, he has won fresh previously.

Race 4: 3YO BM66 Handicap 1300m

KNOWITALL JACK (1) won his maiden before going to the paddock, he did it by leading all the way and showed a lot of fight when challenged late in the race. He has only had the 9 weeks off, seen at a recent barrier trial at Randwick he kept closing through the line and was untouched. He looks ready to go.

SOUTHERN ROMANCE (6) looks the obvious danger. She has the race fitness edge and is coming here fourth-up, she will also be up on the speed and is dropping back in trip. HELA (8) is resuming and hasn’t shown much at the trials, she as tactical speed and should be camped behind the leaders. LICKO’ PAINT (9) gets a couple of gear changes, she usually likes to be on the speed but can see them riding negatively and going back from the ate. Place best for her.

Race 5: BM70 Handicap 1600m

BLACK AND TAN (10) was really good last time doing plenty wrong. She over-raced badly when at the back of the field cluttered up on the fence, when she balanced up, she hit the line well with some good closing sectionals. She will need to settle better as she will be rails hugging again, but will produce late.

SONAREE (3) gets the blinkers back on in what looks an open race. He has been racing well and although he officially ran seventh last time, he wasn’t beaten far and stuck on well. He should be on the speed for a long way. PELETHRONIUS (2) has only been racing fairly but drops in class and MONASTERIO (1) is a last start winner on the heavy track when leading all the way. He will cert6ainly handle the conditions.

Race 6:  Fillies and Mares BM70 Handicap 1300m

This looks the toughest race of the day. TYCOON STREET (1) hadn’t shown much on wet tracks prior to last start, she was beaten 2.6 lengths but produced some good mid-race sectionals suggesting she handled it no problem. She will be giving them a start but in an even race, the pace may be put on for her.

HIGH LOW BET (10) Has placed at her only heavy track run, that was last time at the Kenso and she appeared to have every chance. She may be better suited getting to the outside earlier here. LOVED ONE (4) gets the blinkers off, she has had a month between runs but has trialed well in that time. She had won two in a row before over-racing badly at Newcastle last time and not responding. SELES (5) had the best closing sectional of the race last time, she probably needs an improving track type.

Race 7: BM70 Handicap 1400m

MUSUME (6) has won two of her last forum she takes on the older boys here which should see double figures being bet and she looks a good each-way chance. She has good speed and will be trying to lead all the way, even sitting outside the leader, in form apprentice should be able to control the tempo and she is 1/1 on a heavy track.

THE PARTY GIRL (8) was well beaten last time but had good closing sectionals from a mile back on the heavy track. She also hit the line hard last time she was here at WF. PEMBROKE CASTLE (4) has good speed and will go forward, he is drawn well and if he finds the bunny early, maybe something small on him in the run. ONENESS (3) drops in class, her heavy track form is not great he does have speed and the track may dry out in the next 2 days.
