Race 1 – Spring Carnival 21 Oct – 7 Nov Handicap – BenchMark 82 – 2600 – 01:11
Top Pick: The Willybe (3)
Danger: Sly Romance (2)
Trifecta: Duquessa (5)
Multi: Tunes (1), Flying Casino (4), Spanish Halo (7), Final Table (6)

Race Comment: Expect the Willybe to again be right in the finish…hard to beat!! Only problem may be the price…would want at least $3 before supporting! Sly Romance & Duquessa the other chances.

Betting Confidence: 80%

Race 2 – UBET Handicap – BenchMark 64 – 1100 – 01:46
Top Pick: Easy Beast (3)
Each-way: Jaclyn (4)
Each-way: My Unicorn (5)
Multi: Kid Flash (1), Bad Wolf (7), Tabbing (2), Sparrows (6)

Race Comment: Good race with a couple of promising types engaged. Despite that we are supremely confident in nominating Easy Beast as the bet of the day! Comes into this off a terrific 1st-up win (admittedly much easier race) however rated big figures!! Jaclyn & My Unicorn also far from hopeless with both gallopers likely to have good futures ahead of them.

Race 3 – MJS Floor Coverings Handicap – BenchMark 70 – 1800 – 02:21
Top Pick: Captain Duffy (1)
Danger: Star Wars (3)
Each-way: Skulduggery (8)
Multi: Prince of Pagoda (10), Rothmoore (11), Kazoom (12), Danouli (2)

Race Comment: Expect Captain Duffy to now be close to his best form. If that’s the case expect this previously placed G2 horse to be very hard to hold out in this BM70! Star Wars is another now ready to win & deserves plenty of respect whilst Skulduggery presents as an interesting runner.

Betting Confidence: 80%

Race 4 – Hill Smith Stakes – Open – 1800 – 02:56
Top Pick: All Come True (9)
Danger: American Sunday (1)
Trifecta: Savaheat (6)
Multi: Glam Guru (8), Pissaro (3), Tropical Lightning (4), Box On Collins (7)

Race Comment: Tricky race which sees just three runners that have competed over this longer trip. Siding narrowly with All Come True who we thought was far from disgraced in much tougher Oaks Trial last start. Expect her to be only further improved for this. Also expecting sharp improvement from the two Weir runners American Sunday & Savaheat. A race we will only be playing for small stakes.

Betting Confidence: 60%

Race 5 – Schweppes Handicap – BenchMark 70 – 1050 – 03:31
Top Pick: Invisible Girl (13)
Danger: Spiritual Girl (12)
Each-way: Nodoubtaboutit (1)
Multi: Tempting Faith (9), Alaskan Jade (5), House of Wax (10), Stryke a Ransom (14)

Tip Comment: Invisible Girl comes off a terrific 2nd-up run(went straight into the blackbook!) charging hard late against slow tempo. Surely only strips fitter again-ready to win! Spiritual Girl lightly raced filly resuming. Displayed plenty of promise as a 2yo winning 2/4 starts whilst also competing against some more than handy types. Wide draw the obvious query here however deserves plenty of respect! Nodoubtaboutit is flying having won 3/5 this prep. Will likely start fav again & be very hard to beat!
Race Comment: Very open race with many different possibilities. In saying that we are keen to get involved with Invisible Girl (just loved her last start run!). Huge watch Spiritual Girl (betting will obviously be interesting) whilst Nodoubtaboutit will again be right in the finish given just even luck. Also not dismissing Tempting Faith or even Alaskan Jade.

Race 6 – Kitty Kat Pastoral Handicap – BenchMark 75 – 1600 – 04:11
Top Pick: Groovin’ (8)
Danger: Weather Channel (6)
Value: Beau’s My Boy (11)
Multi: Wasabi Bob (5), Hussybay (4), Beau Rivage (7), I’m a Princess (10)

Tip Comment: Groovin’ Vic visitor that was far from disgraced despite covering ground t’out last start. Really does appear to have found the right race getting in here down on the min whilst also mapping sitting off genuine tempo. Weather Channel reckon this bloke is now screaming out for the mile. Another expected to appreciate likely genuine tempo up front…big improver! Beau’s My Boy has had very little go his way this prep. Certainly capable of running a cheeky race given just even luck.
Race Comment: Tough little race where betting must be monitored closely. At this early stage we are giving the Vic visitor in Groovin’ plenty of respect however in saying that Weather Channel, Beau’s My Boy & Wasabi Bob all have genuine chances. Expect Hussybay to go around under the odds (1600m??).

Betting Confidence: 70%

Race 7 – Programmed Durbridge Stakes – Open – 1200 – 04:51
Top Pick: Casino Wizard (1)
Danger: Desert Lashes (8)
Each-way: Lope de Capio (5)
Multi: Mio Dio (2), Lord Aspen (3), Royal Rumble (4), Ustinov’s Fury (7)

Tip Comment: Casino Wizard prepared to put a line through last start failure when pretty much out of play early when blowing the start. Has since been given six week freshen-up, maps ideally, whilst the likelihood of much firmer footing also presents as a definite plus-big improver!! Desert Lashes tasted defeat for the first time when grabbed late 1st-up. Obviously far from disgraced & surely only strips fitter again. Lope de Capio was terrific when scoring last start-more than capable of saluting again!
Race Comment: Expecting the ‘Wizard’ to be back to his best here…if that’s the case expecting him to be horribly hard to beat! Actually quite keen & actually anticipating bookies to let us on…keen! Again respecting Lope de Capio that is another capable of flying under most punters radars.

Betting Confidence: 90%

Race 8 – The Junction Handicap – BenchMark 70 – 1200 – 05:30
Top Pick: Manuel (4)
Each-way: Swipe Me Right (13)
Each-way: Call Me Curtis (3)
Multi: Trupt (8), Show Bender (9), Nicoise (7), Senor Gaudi (12)

Tip Comment: Manual admittedly capable of mixing his form however would be fair to say if he brings his ‘A’ game here this bloke is more than capable of blowing these away. Comes into this off a tough last start win…remembering he started hard in the market three starts back against Listed level yet here he is in a BM70!! Swipe Me Right shapes as the possible big improver. Clearly best suited when races are genuinely run-gets that here! Call Me Curtis good effort 1st-up…most noticeably is 2/3 2nd-up!
Race Comment: Respecting Manuel enormously here. Swipe Me Right & Call Me Curtis the two however more than capable of running much improved races at odds.
