The Big 6!

Last week’s Big 6 was a good one with 2 winners, Sizzlefly ($5.50) and Salsamor ($3.20).

Onto this week:

BENDIGO

R7 #3 SPEND

Looks well in back at this level. He beat a similar field after sitting parked at Fl3emington two back before going to Sydney for the George Ryder last time and although was well beaten, wasn’t disgraced. Back against his own age he will be hard to run down.

R9 #14 JUMBO OZAKI

Is the logical danger (to Big Night Out). He showed a stack of ability early in the career but just struggled to win when getting up in grade. He showed he may be back with a good win at Flemington last start after sitting outside the speed..

ROSEHILL

R5 #9 VILLAMI

Looks the leader here, she has the wide draw but I love it when Clark is drawn out on favoured leaders. HE is always positive, he never looked like getting run down when resuming. If the track is playing to those on the speed, he looks one of the best of the day.

R6 #9 VERRY ELLEEGANT

Lost two-horse war last week but winner had world-class Lys Graceaux form. She thrashed Avilius into 3rd and beat him home prior also. Has (finally) become a proper racehorse it seems. Won ATC Oaks her one go 2400m.

(Oz Racing Form)

R9 #2 STAR OF THE SEAS

Is a real winner, he got to the outside when resuming two weeks back and was way too good at G3 level. Nash takes the ride, look for him late.

MORPHETTVILLE

R6 #3 GRAND CROWN

Most interesting Victorian visitor from the red-hot Ciaron Maher & David Eustace that appears ideally placed if he gets the longer 1950m trip. In saying that see absolutely no reason why he won’t run it given he maps to enjoy a relatively soft run sitting up on what just appears a moderate tempo whilst also simply must respect Stables opinion. Also simply love the fact they have gone with in-form claiming hoop in young Neindorf, dropping 3kg or better still getting in just 1.5kg above the minimum. Rates $3.50 in our book hence more than happy with the opening $4.50.
