The Big 6!

The Big 6 had a strip-out last week at Pakenham, Rosehill and Morphettville with 2 photo-finish 2nd’s the best we could do.

Onto this week:

FLEMINGTON

R3 #11 WESTBROOK PARK

Was sent to the paddock after being outclassed on debut at Listed level, since he has resumed, he has not missed a place. He won his maiden at Cranbourne two back then went to the Valley last time and was beautifully ridden behind the speed and charged clear for an easy win. He can take the next step here.

R9 #9 BUMPER BLAST

Romped in to win his maiden three back and then won the greys race on Oaks Day. He ran on well at Ballarat last time under the big weight but peaked late, he drops down to 54kg today and Olly goes on.

RANDWICK

R1 #6 KYLEASE

Trialled well before running along up front Kembla fresh and held them all off running fast overall time, 2nd (Hands-on), 6th (Jen Rules) and 8th (The Party Girl) all then won city races. Won 3 of 5 dry with two forgive runs. (Oz Racing Form)
R6 #5 MULTAJA

Should be the beneficiary of what looks another up tempo race early, she is yet to win at three starts this campaign but has been running through the line well. Two starts back in a harder race she produced the best last 600m of the race and wasn’t far off the placings. 5 weeks between runs but she has trialed wince. Look for her late.

R9 #2 PHAISTOS

Has had five weeks between runs but has trialed in between runs. She resumed at Flemington and was very stro9ng through the line, she narrowly missed a place but was only beaten half a length. Look for her late.

MORPHETTVILLE
R2 #2 HEARTY LASS

More than handy John Hyam trained filly that comes into this off an ideal five week freshen-up since finishing down the track when taken over for much stronger Flemington race. Suggest win three starts back, also over in Melbourne reads huge for this, especially considering those formlines have since been more than franked with three subsequent winners coming out of that race. Returns to this her home track whilst gets the benefit of the blinkers for the first time. Especially keen to launch in here and have a good bet at the early $3.20, especially with Berand Vorster now doing the steering. Considering we are more than keen to oppose the early favourite, Victorian visitor, Desert Dreamer ($2.60) that resumes here we must make this filly the days best bet!!
