The Big 6!

The Big 6 was back to winning ways on Emirates Stakes Day, finding 2 winners – Reelem In Ruby ($3.90) and The Pugilist ($2.45)..

Onto this week:

SANDOWN

R2 #1 SOUND

Sound looks one of the better bets on the card. He was huge odds in the Melbourne Cup, over-raced badly through the early and middle stages in the back half of the field. He ran on well enough only beaten just under 4 lengths in a race where it was clearly advantageous to be closer to the speed.

R8 #5 SOUTHERN FRANCE

Wasn’t suited the way the race was run in the Melbourne Cup, he only beate a few home. He may be better suited here coming back in trip and at WFA, expect a much better showing today at his second Australian run.

NEWCASTLE

R4 #2 SO TAKEN

Didn’t run the 1600m out in Angst. Lost her spot mid race Caulfield prior in total on-pace race (hot form race!). Back to 78 class and gets gun trail here gate 1. (Oz Racing Form)
R5 #1 RULE THE WORLD

Undefeated after three starts, he resumed at Rosehill last start and was too good when sitting outside the leader early before taking over early in the straight. He loses nothing with one of the better front-running jockeys in the land Tim Clark going on, expect him to be in front soon after they jump.

R7 #7 OUTRAGEOUS

Was a well supported fave in town last start, he had to sit outside the leader but was way too good for his opposition. That was easier than the start prior where he was forced to sit three and four wide without cover but didn’t shirk the task. Well drawn with a good claim, eh will be very hard to run down.

MORPHETTVILLE
R6 #2 SECRET VEGA

Most interesting to see Lloyd Kennewell return back to his old stomping ground where he is bringing just the one runner across the boarder in the shape of this four year old gelding. Absolutely won’t know himself dropping back from recent strong Victorian races dropping back to this just moderate no metro win race. A great indication of what this bloke is capable of is nearly twelve months to the day he was beaten just 0.6L when placed third behind Ringerdingding in a strong Listed race at Flemington. Suggest he would simply eat these up and spit them out if able to replicate that same rating here! Gobsmacked they went up $3.80, with the current $3.50 still representing terrific overs. We have him rated about $2.25 and a clear best bet hence recommending readers to simply load up!! Only one danger in our opinion with a recommended saver on Taikun Warrior ($4.20).
