The Big 6!

Last week’s Big 6 was NOT GOOD, a wipeout! Bouncing back this Saturday, hopefully.

Onto this week:

FLEMINGTON
R4 #8 FIDELIA

Love the way she found the line fresh at 1200m. First defeat beyond sprint trips in Let’s Elope latest but probably should have won it. Held-up/ Back along inside VS slow speed, she was one of very few to break 11-seconds home last 200m. Draws off inside today.

(Oz Racing Form)

R7 #3 MR QUICKIE

Perfectly suited here to Flemington and looks one of the better bets on the card. He has come back well after his Derby win in Qld, and looks set for a stellar 4YO season. He was a real eye-catcher when resuming over a mile here last time and the extra distance looks to suit.

R9 #7 MIAMI BOUND

Looks a star in the making, she resumed with a brilliant win at Bendigo when she had no luck and wasn’t entitled to get up. She was there again last time at BM70 grade for the girls and came from last with a devastating turn-of-foot to run them down. She looks perfectly suited to the big track here.

RANDWICK
R3 #6 SHOCK ALERT

Is from the in-form Bjorn Baker stable, he is racing very consistently and makes his own luck up on the speed. He won last start at Rosehill when he looked beaten, kicked back strongly and there was a big gap back to third horse. Nash sticks with the ride and should be hard to catch.

R6 #1 SAMADOUBT

Why not stick with SAMADOUBT in another WFA Group race where he looks to get a soft lead? Seeing out the 2000m looks the only issue but he has shown when he gets the right run in front, he can kick and prove very hard to run doubt. He is having a break-out season and hard to see them running past him again.

MORPHETTVILLE
R7 #1 WASABI BOB (each-way)

More than handy MacDonald/Gluyas trained last start Tokyo City Cup place-getter that appears particularly well placed dropping back to this much easier Bench Mark 85 affair. Not only that formlines have already stacked up strongly through that last start run with two subsequent winners having already come through that race. Icing on the cake is he actually gets in 1kg lighter after young Jerry Chau’s allowance whilst maps to again make own luck enjoying a lovely on-pace run. Already a Listed winner earlier in the year which is one up on all of these whilst Bookies appear to be ignoring his class edge by opening this bloke at a most attractive $6…..simply can’t see this bloke missing each way!
