The Big 6!

Last Saturday made it 4 winning Big 6’s in a row after 2 winners in The Party Girl ($4.60) and Autumn Splendour ($3.80).

Onto this week:

FLEMINGTON
R3 #12 JUMBO OZAKI

Those that saw his debut win were gobsmacked at the ease of it, he then won at Bendigo as a very short priced fave before coming here last time. He was held-up at a vital stage and only got clear at the furlong before savaging the line and arguably should have won. He has trialed nicely, he is a future star.

R5 #9 TWILIGHT RUN

Looks to have plenty of upside as a middle-distance type, he was brilliant winning over the mile here two starts back when charging home and was string through the line. He then went to the Valley last week and was well backed, ran on ok but never got into the race when the tempo was against. Back on the big track with the big field I expect that won’t be the case here.

ROSEHILL
R5 #3 ATHIRI

Can make it a feature race double for the Godolphin team, she won on debut then placed at her only other fresh run. She draws inside her main rival and meets her better at the weights then when they last met back in the early Autumn, she looks to have come back well with a nice trial at Randwick recently.

R7 #6 COSTELLO

Worked to line nicely fresh then hampered 300m before closing Dr Drill to 1L with Matowi (then won – meets 2kg better) back in third. His last two dry track runs, have been wins.

(Oz Racing Form)

R9 #5 CINQUEDEA

Has been very consistent this prep, he bolted in at back-to-back wins at Goulburn and Newcastle before failing on the heavy track last time. He did show a clean pair of heels in that defeat but the track may have got the better of him late, he maps well and will be too quick for them.

MURRAY BRIDGE
R5 #4 AMBERDI

Admittedly comes into this off the back of a most uncharacteristic, disappointing first-up effort however prepared to totally overlook that when simply wasn’t suited by the Heavy conditions. Has the outstanding second-up record of three wins from only four attempts whilst suggest also appears to now get in great at the weights after the claim. Expect maps to settle a lot closer than usual in a race devoid of any great tempo. More than happy with the current $4.40….expect she will give this an almighty shake! The likely leader, This Kid Rocks ($11) also worth including in all multiples at nice odds whilst don’t rule out Lope De Capio ($61) given firmer footing.
