Warwick Farm (Wed)

Warwick Farm Racing Tips – Wednesday June 17
Wednesday @ Warwick Farm:

Track: Heavy 9. Rail: +5m 1000m – WP, +3m Remainder.

Best Bet: Race 7 – FARETTI
Race 1: RADIANCE (5) from 2, 7 and 1.
Race 2: BEYLIKS (1) from 2, 3 and 5.
Race 3: DIVINE ELEVEN (6) from 5, 1 and 2.
Race 4: REFORMIST (6) from 7, 8 and 3.
Race 5: HE RUNS AWAY (2) from 1, 8 and 5.
Race 6: QUANTICO (10) from 6, 3 and 9.
Race 7: FARETTI (2) from 1, 5 and 8.

Race 1: 2YO Fillies Maiden Plate 1100m

Four of the seven are going to the races for the first time and to be honest, they look the main players. RADIANCE (5) is a filly for the James Cummings stable, she has shown more intent at her latest trial and gets the booking of JMac. ESCAPE ARTIST (2) has won both trials here at her home track and sure to be ready to go fresh. ZERO TO HUNDRED (7) has been given two quiet trials leading into this, this stable can really get a 2YO to go first-up. BOURBON ROSE (1) is resuming for the Godolphin yard, she looks the best performed of those we have seen before. The betting will obviously tell us more.

Race 2: 2YO Colts and Geldings Maiden Plate 1100m

BEYLIKS (1) is an interesting runner, this is his fourth start but the first time that he has had a second-up run. He resumed in the Champagne Classic north of the border at G2 level, he was only fair in the run home to the eye but probably wasn’t suited not being right up on the speed. This is certainly easier.

DANCE (2) has placed at three of four career runs, his last two on the soft track since resumig have been good when running on from back in the field. McEvoy replaces Rachel King, doubt that he will ride him more positive. EDMOND (3) was given plenty of time before debuting at Canterbury three weeks ago, he sat up on the speed and stuck on well, will he have to face the breeze again? JIMMY’S DREAM (5) is a debutant from the Gai/Bott yard and sure to have plenty of tactical speed.

Race 3: 3&4YO BM70 Handicap 2140m

DIVINE ELEVEN (6) won his maiden at Kembla three starts ago, he got back and ran on at his first go out of that grade before failing in a harder race in town last time. He will appreciate the improving track and maps to get a soft run, this stable must be respected when bringing one down for the midweeks.

DIAMONDS AND RUST (5) is a Gai/Bott runner with Tim Clark going back aboard, she was beaten as favourite last time when sitting outside the speed, that may be her spot again. TOLEMAC (1) is flying at the moment winning three of his last five, he has good speed and handles the wet tracks and will be making his own luck. Nash rides, lose nothing with him going on a horse that will be up on the speed. ALL THINGS (2) Has won two of the last three, he has to step up in class off an ordinary Class1/Maiden field at Wyong last start, JMac takes over in the saddle.

Race 4: BM70 Handicap 1600m

REFORMIST (6) was beaten just under 2 lengths last start in a race we can line-up the form, he was slowly away, over-raced badly and was never on the track. Widest from the 600m, he produced some of the best sectionals of the race, he can improve with a better run and a couple of gear changes.

LE LUDE (7) has been good all four runs this campaign, she comes through a race a few of these did last time and was brave in defeat. She was wide without cover and had to work to get a position with cover, she kept chasing but that early work told late. She maps better today. AZARMIN (8) was a real eye-catcher when resuming on the Kenso track in a similar race to this, she got well back and ran on hard producing the best last 800m of the race, just missing the placings. LEWIS (3) is resuming from a spell and has been gelded in his time off. His two runs last prep were poor but the chop and the booking of Nash again may see some improvement.

Race 5: 4YO and Up BM70 Handicap 2400m

HE RUNS AWAY (2) has had a month between runs, he was at Rosehill in a harder race and after getting back worse than mid-field in the run, chased hard to get within a length of the winner at the finish, just missing third. He is still looking for his first win in Australia which is a little concerning.

TERWILLIKER (1) is a last start winner in BM78 grade when carrying no weight, he looks the leader again and although he gets some relief with the claim, he still has to lump 55. Kg’s than that last start win. SHE’S A TREASURE (8) has been racing consistently, a little concerning that she has still not won out of maiden grade though. She will be just off the speed and will need cover. SHE’S SO SAVVY (5) has won twice this campaign and yet to miss a place in 5 starts this time in. She ran on hard from last and a mile back on the heavy track at Warwick Farm producing the best last 400m of the race. She handles all conditions, a wet track won’t worry her!

Race 6: BM70 Handicap 1200m

QUANTICO (10) won his maiden when resuming last prep, his first go out of that grade was poor when beaten as a very short-priced favourite, he did appear in the steward’s report as being slow to recover so happy to overlook that run and focus on the short SP. He has only been fair at the trials, JMAc sticks with the ride.

ACCELERATO (6) looked a little flat when resuming on the Kenso track, he does have a much better record when second-up (4:0-1-3) and expect him to be a big improver. HE’S A HOTSHOT (3) hasn’t won in more than year but didn’t run a bad race last prep placing at 5 of 6. He has good tactical speed, Nash should have all the options from the inside gate. I expect that he will try and lead and make them try and run him down. L’COSMO (9) gets the winkers back on, she will find this easier than her last couple of starts including a 3-length defeat in Listed grade two starts back. She is a must include in all exotic bet types in this grade.

Race 7: 3YO BM66 Handicap 1300m

FARETTI (2) has placed at both starts this campaign. He was pressured form the outside throughout when sticking on well to place fresh then over-raced in front at Newcastle and weakened late to hang on for third. He gets the blinkers on for the first time, expect that to sharpen him right up and be very hard to catch. He looks a great each-way bet.

DARLEB (1) has been up for a while having his sixth start this campaign, he was a winner at Wyong three starts back and has run on well at his last two to place. Hughie will get back from the inside and ride for luck, he will be fishing as good as any as he saves ground around the turn. FASHCHANEL (5) looks to have plenty of ability, she resumed at Kembla in an easier race and produced some of the best sectionals of the meeting winning an easier race. TRAVEST (8) was a winner on debut and sent straight to the paddock, he has improved at each trial getting ready for this. He got back at his only start so expect that again from the wide gate.
