MorphettvilleRacing Tips – Sat May 30th
We will be at Morphettville this Saturday.
BEST Race 5 no 7 CUPID’S BOW
Race 2 no 4 FLOP
Admittedly this Gordon Richards trained mare isn’t one to win out of turn however convinced she is going much better than recent form suggests. Plummets in grade from recent efforts including Group 3 company last start whilst also suggest has been racing totally without luck. Small field here suits whilst gets in 0.5kg above the minimum after the claim over her favourite track/distance where she has finished amongst the placing on all five previous occasions. Looks at outstanding each-way investment at the opening $8.50.
ODDS $8.50 @ TopSport.
Race 3 no 1 BERTWHISTLE
On yet another that is plummeting in grade from recent Listed efforts dropping back to this just very moderate BM68 affair. Obviously suggesting last start 1.6L fourth behind Oasis Girl reads enormous for this whilst despite being top weight reckon looks thrown it at the weights against her much lesser opposition here. As was the case last start would love to see Kayla Crowther ride this mare a lot closer to the pace as on paper there looks to be zero pressure on up front. Admittedly is two years between wins however don’t think she would have had too many better opportunities than this either to break through. Reckon the opening $5 reads as terrific overs!
ODDS $5.0 @ Bet365, TAB.
Race 5 no 7 CUPID’S BOW
Anthony Freedman trained filly that gives every indication she has a bright future ahead of her. Was simply outstanding first-up when toying with her opposition to score most impressively by 3.25L before last start totally luckless when still suggest did well to be only beaten 3.85L. Expect her to be close to cherry-ripe now third-up whilst the engagement of Vorster is another strong pointer. In a race which we think has only the two chances, Bray Street Boss ($3.80) being the other whilst also equally keen to take on the fav Dixon Street ($3-definite query at the trip!) reckon the opening $4.20 reads as simply outstanding value hence why is our best bet!! Has also accepted at Geelong Friday (Race 9 no 10) in a race she appears equally well placed.
ODDS $4.20 @ TopSport.
Race 6 no 2 BLOW TORCH
Another from the McEvoy yard that comes off a black-book run just last week when running on strongly behind the more than handy Done By Me. Admittedly as his record may suggest has been one that can find trouble in his races however when given even luck has proven he is more than competitive around some nice runners hence appears extremely well placed in this BM 64 affair. Expect this bloke to now be very close to peak fitness whilst just love the fact he is on the quick back-up stepping up to ideal trip. Very similar to that last campaign when Stable travelled him across the border when he impressed with a terrific win at Sandown, despite working hard throughout. Another where we think the opening $5.50 reads as extremely generous.
ODDS $5.50 @ TopSport.
