Morphettville Racing Tips – Sat Dec 14th
We will be at Morphettville this Saturday.
BEST Race 2 no 2 Hearty Lass
Race 2 no 2 HEARTY LASS
More than handy John Hyam trained filly that comes into this off an ideal five week freshen-up since finishing down the track when taken over for much stronger Flemington race. Suggest win three starts back, also over in Melbourne reads huge for this, especially considering those formlines have since been more than franked with three subsequent winners coming out of that race. Returns to this her home track whilst gets the benefit of the blinkers for the first time. Especially keen to launch in here and have a good bet at the early $3.20, especially with Berand Vorster now doing the steering. Considering we are more than keen to oppose the early favourite, Victorian visitor, Desert Dreamer ($2.60) that resumes here we must make this filly the days best bet!!
ODDS $3.20 @ TAB.
Race 3 no 3 KABINI
The last time this mare resumed she actually surprised by displaying a stack of pace hence why not really concerned with her over the 1100m, a trip she would find too short later in her campaigns. Actually think she can again settle a lot closer than normal anyway in a race that really doesn’t shape as one where they will go overly quick in front. Also certain to find this much easier than recent efforts appearing to get in well against her not overly strong BM75 opponents. Absolutely wouldn’t shock, especially with her preferred rider aboard in D.Tourneur….simply impossible not to back each-way at the most generous $11 on offer.
ODDS $11.0 @ Bet365.
Race 7 no 4 ZALMONA
Admittedly keen to speck this bloke more on his form last campaign where he ran some cracking races against Black-type company. This time in thought his first-up run was more than acceptable despite never threatening before admittedly slightly disappointing second-up run. Certainly prepared to forgive that effort especially now he likely peaks here third-up in a race where he gets likely most suitable strong tempo up front. Although yet to win still has a good record here over this track/distance. Drawn to do no work however concede will require luck in running however simply find it impossible to let this bloke go at the big $19 on offer, especially getting in here down on the minimum. Expected big improver that would have genuine claims on best form!
ODDS $19.0 @ Bet365.
Race 8 no 3 NASEEB
Despite narrowly missing the placings in both of his runs this time in must say I’ve been quite impressed by the way this bloke has found the line on each occasion. In fact he recorded the fastest final splits each time further franking our reasons as to why we are keen to jump aboard here, especially now he is stepping up to his ideal 1600m trip. In fact not only has he won 3/6 at the mile but 2/4 have come here at the track! Surely now close to peak fitness being third-up whilst the engagement of Barend Vorster now jumping aboard is the icing on the cake. Really hoping he can fully utilise the good barrier where he can settle further forward and at the $7 on offer suggest he is terrific each-way value!
ODDS $7.0 @ TAB.
