BEST Race 4 no 2 DEXTER YOU DEVIL
ALL-UP Race 5 no 6 GRABBING GLORY
Race 4 no 2 DEXTER YOU DEVIL
Five year old gelding that has come back flying, racing in clear career best form winning 2/3 starts with only miss coming when just missing placings in much tougher Listed Balaklava Cup. Last start 4.6L win was simply huge when producing some big final sectionals, leaving his rivals simply grasping for air. Again finds himself in a Bench Mark 75 affair with the only change being a 2kg rise. Importantly looks to be a genuine tempo up front again whilst smallish field suggest can only be a positive. Expect him to simply win again whilst the Bookies appear to be extremely kind in offering $2.80 in the opening markets. Rates a conservative evens in our book….betting up!!
ODDS $2.80 @ Sportsbet, Bet365.
Race 5 no 6 GRABBING GLORY
MacDonald/Gluyas trained four year old mare that has always indicated ability, especially as she gets over more ground. Won two on end, most impressively admittedly against just moderate company before last start, eye-catching placing behind the in-form Shop Til I Drop when stepped up to this grade for the first time. Bred to stay longer than a ‘mother in law’ being out of a Zabeel mare, expect the rise here to the 2250m to be simply a massive positive whilst also gets in with absolutely no weight, 2kg under the minimum after claim. Given just even luck just can’t see how these can hold her out….have her priced closer to evens hence suggest betting up big time at the current $3 whilst taking Dexter You Devil (previous race) as an all-up!!
ODDS $3.0 @ Bet365.
Race 7 no 1 WASABI BOB
More than handy MacDonald/Gluyas trained last start Tokyo City Cup place-getter that appears particularly well placed dropping back to this much easier Bench Mark 85 affair. Not only that formlines have already stacked up strongly through that last start run with two subsequent winners having already come through that race. Icing on the cake is he actually gets in 1kg lighter after young Jerry Chau’s allowance whilst maps to again make own luck enjoying a lovely on-pace run. Already a Listed winner earlier in the year which is one up on all of these whilst Bookies appear to be ignoring his class edge by opening this bloke at a most attractive $6…..simply can’t see this bloke missing each way!
ODDS $6.0 @ Bet365.
Race 8 no 11 HE WILL BOOM
Country trained Gary Searle trained galloper that displayed plenty of promise when responsible for a couple of cracking runs when last in work. First-up run this time in suggest was simply too bad to be true when never looked likely hence prepared to overlook that effort. With that run now under his belt, whilst being stepped up to the more suitable 1300m with a more than solid tempo likely up front, expect to see this bloke improve sharply. On best ratings suggest this bloke should be nothing like the $9 being offered against these hence more than happy to take him each-way. Also suggest punters include Tongsai Boss ($6) whilst happy to oppose the favourite More Than Exceed ($3.50) with the big weight.
ODDS $9.0 @ Sportsbet, Neds, Bet365, BetStar.
