Morphettville Racing Tips – Sat Feb 8th
We will be at Morphettville this Saturday.
BEST Race 6 no 1 EAGLE RIDGE
Race 5 no 5 DISCO REBEL
Country trained, Sue Jaensch trained five year old mare that gave every indication she is nearing another win and went straight into the blackbook when finishing a luck-less, close-up 4th three starts back. Just hasn’t had things made to order in two subsequent efforts including last start placing when caught wide throughout. Hardly meets what can be described as a vintage line-up in this just moderate BM 64 affair whilst gets in just 1kg above minimum. Expect this daughter of Rebel Raider to give this a real shake given even luck hence rates as the days clear best value runner of the day at the current $9.50!
BET: EACH WAY
ODDS $9.50 @ Sportsbet.
Race 6 no 1 EAGLE RIDGE
Mike Moroney trained visitor that comes into this off the back of some super honest Melbourne form. Obviously being travelled across the border in search of a confidence boosting win and seriously suggest couldn’t be any better placed in this Class ‘One Metro Win’ race. Despite the big drop in grade also actually drops 2kg in weight off recent efforts as well whilst also maps ideally from the good barrier making own luck up on the pace. At the opening $3 making this bloke the days best bet! Value runner Cotillion ($9.50) expected to relish the longer 1400m and good quinella chance.
ODDS $3.0 @ Bet365.
Race 7 no 2 WHITE KAPS
Certainly don’t think I’d be going over the top in suggesting that this bloke is flying and really has done an outstanding job to get as close as he has in recent efforts despite having had nothing go his way. Speed to burn on his inside here hence having him mapping to get in no problems sitting off hot tempo doing very little work, whilst drops back sharply in grade to this BM 68 affair. So overdue for that luck that has been deserting him of late and given things pan out the way we think they will suggest he rates as a terrific gamble at the opening $5.50….each way all day!!
ODDS $6.0 @ Bet365.
Race 9 no 8 KYSHAKA
Lightly raced and very much progressive trained Country mare that has returned in terrific order winning three of her four races since resuming. Ratings also produced back up the fact this mare gets in outstanding in this just moderate BM 68 affair, appearing to be thrown in at the weight getting in with just 53.5kg after young Teagan Voorhams claim. Admittedly not best served having drawn out wider however actually hoping that to be a blessing in disguise, as we expect to see her ridden more forward early. Had her marked as the best bet of the day before being scratching because of the Heavy track last week, equally as keen to back-up and get involved here at the opening $3.10.
ODDS $3.10 @ Sportsbet.
