Moonee Valley Racing Tips – Fri Nov 15

We will be at Moonee Valley this Friday.

Track: Good 4. Rail: True.

Race 1: BM78 Highweight Handicap 3800m

BEMBOKA QUEEN (2) has to get out in trip like all of them, the way he ran through the line last time was encouraging. The form line isn’t great, but none of them are. He only has three career wins and although he doesn’t have a lot of dash, he should be grinding away as good as any at the back end.

PLYMOUTH ROAD (1) was up on the speed for a long way last start and looks to have no problem with the trip, GOLDEN GEE (5) is a veteran that will keep coming, he didn’t have much luck last time at a vital stage before running on. WOLFE TONE (3) just needs to be saved for one run late.

Race 2: Class 1 Handicap 1500m

ATONE (1) was off the scene for almost 2 years before resuming at Sale back in September. He has had three runs back, the latest was a nice effort where he probably should have won after being held-up most of the straight before attacking the line when finally out over the last 100m.

DARCI’S TUNE (4) is a former Kiwi that has only had one start here in Oz, a maiden win at Horsham where he was dominant. It was impressive to the eye but he has to get out of maiden grade and will be giving them a start. TAIKUN WARRIOR (6) is very consistent, he doesn’t win out of turn but will be up on the speed for a long way with the blinkers back on. ZOUSTORM (7) will go forward, his chances will rely on him being first across to the fence, I doubt he can win if he has to sit parked outside the leader.

Race 3: BM70 Handicap 2040m

GREEN IVY (9) looks a little risky getting out beyond the 2000m here tonight, he sat on the speed last start at Seymour, went for home and was all out on the line to hang on over a mile. The key will be to hold him up and save him for one run.

BIANCO NUAVO (1) looks the leader, he gets the blinkers off today. He led last start in a harder race at Caulfield, he had every chance but stuck on well enough. Back in grade looks the key. LUCABELLE (2) is only racing fairly this campaign but has shown improvement at his last couple, both here at the track. He was held-up last time at a vital stage but hit the lone ok. PLAY ME NOW (7) should be at peak fitness here third-up, he was ok last time when second but did have every chance after a perfect run in transit.

Race 4: 3YO BM64 Handicap 1200m

COSMIC RHAPSODY (1) has had two runs this prep for two wins. Resuming at Murray Bridge, he was perfectly ridden to win at maiden level then went to Echuca in a 58 grade and ran on hard from the back to score as favourite. Harder again here, I expect him to settle a lot closer.

HELAVABEL (3) was a short priced favourite when winning on debut at Mornington last time, he sat up outside the speed and kept coming in the straight to get up late. He may have to do the same here, sit outside the lead? DANE CLIPPER (10) was brave in defeat last start here after being forced to sit three-wide no cover, he has the awkward inside draw and will need to jump well to hold them out and lead. TYCOON BELLA (11) led all the way on debut, doubt she will be able to cross here though if the speedy ones drawn in jump away.

Race 5: BM70 Handicap 955m

THREE BEANS (10) was sent to the paddock following his maiden win on debut, his two runs back have been placings here at the track. He has good natural speed and looks the leader, back to this jump-and-run trip he looks well suited.

ALL CYLINDERS (9) draws well in 2, he showed a good turn-of-foot to win in Sydney last start, hard to line that form up though. He maps well, if he handles the track he should be there to pounce late. DIVINE MR TYCOON (6) has no luck here last start in a similar race and arguably should have won. REBEL MISS (4) goes up in weight after winning that race, drawn out he will be wide the duration but he has showed he can do work and win.

Race 6: BM70 Handicap 1600m

HEAVENLY EMPORER (4) has been very consistent throughout his 10-start career, he looks the leader again here tonight. He led when resuming at Bendigo over 1300m and was only run down late, gets out to the mile here on the smaller track, he will be very hard to run down.

CANNOT BE SERIOUS (3) comes over from SA where he has been racing consistently, he maps to be camped on the leaders back which looks ideal. BOLTOUTOFTHEBLUE (7) may have to sit parked outside the leader, any rain around wouldn’t hurt his chances. KIPKETER (8) will find this harder than last start where he won at Benalla. He maps to be on the speed as well. The on pacers look to dominate this race.

Race 7: Fillies and Mares BM70 Handicap 1000m

ENJOY ELSIE (12) goes on top in what looks a very open race. She clearly didn’t handle the track when resuming on the heavy surface, led and was run down late here last time when back on top of the ground. A slight gear change may be enough to see her go all the way. DIAMNOND BLISS (11) is very consistent but has to overcome the setback of drawing the inside gate. She will need some luck when the runs come. WRITE ENUFF (10) gets a nice run on paper, she hasn’t placed second-up at two previous attempts which is a little worrying and needs to settle better than what she did here last time when fresh. MISCHA (5) can improve with the blinkers on, if she can reproduce her win from when she was first-up this prep, she is right in this. Play wide in the Quaddie.

Race 8: BM64 Handicap 1200m

MORE SUNDAYS (10) is resuming and we are taking him on trust. The well bred son of Fastnet Rock x More Joyous was a brilliant winner on debut and has been raced sparingly since. He has had 38-weeks on the sidelines, he was getting back in his races last prep but does race with the blinkers off this time. If he has come back well, he should be winning this after settling closer.

CRIMSON TYCOON (9) looks the only danger on paper. He has won starts this prep by huge margins. He won by more than 8 lengths at maiden grade when resuming then led all the way to win by more than 5 at 0-58 grade last time. Those two gap jobs can’t be ignored even though this is harder. ZOUMANOR (4) was beautifully ridden last start to score, he gets another cheap run here but just may need some luck off the inside when the runs come. BIANCONI MAGIC (1) is resuming, he won last prep when resuming but needs to show the same form on the turf as he did on the synthetic tracks last prep.
