Race 2: VOBIS GOLD INGOT 1400M
BOOGIE DANCER (8) won a mid week race last start over 1300m in the style of a horse going places. Jamie Kah sticks and in a race with not much exposed form, she looks the one to beat.
MANHATTAN THUNDER (1) won his first start at Sale in a Maiden over 1113m and gets the returning jet setting jockey in Damien Lane aboard. CREDIBLE ANALYSES (4) is well bred and trained by an astute stable. He finished a close 2nd at his first run ever and is open to improvement here.
Race 8: BLETCHINGLY STAKES 1200M
SCALLOPINI (2) is a horse trained by a Brisbane camp that place their horses very well and currently have one of the best strike rates in the country. He raced well over the Brisbane winter carnival and is best on soft ground at 1400m. He gets the soft ground here and was beaten a lip in a G2, over 1200, 3 starts back. Ollie to ride from a soft draw he looks a nice each way play at $10.
KING OF SPARTA (7) was ok first up and may need 1 more to be at his top but is horse with ability. The inside barrier draw looks a bit tricky due to his get back pattern, but that said he’s a chance. OXLEY ROAD (6) was less than ordinary first up and would certainly be a big improver here but I want to see him perform at this level before diving into him again.
