Gawler Racing Tips – Sat July 13th
We will be at Gawler this Saturday.
BEST BET Race 6 no 4 Charossa
Race 4 No 2 GRINZINGER EXPRESS
Lindsay Park trained galloper that has displayed enough in her first two starts to suggest connections may have some fun with this Shooting To Win filly. Displayed plenty of grit to score narrowly on debut before bumping into a potentially real promising type last start when still beat the rest of her rivals, including previous winner Magic Phantom….comfortably! Actually love the fact that she drops back to the 1100m here whilst the icing on the cake is the blinkers being applied for the first time. Does meet four debutants here, all of those have at least been seen publicly with nothing really standing out whilst confident she has more ability over her main rival Valentina Star ($3.90). Expect she will lead throughout and give us plenty of spending money for later in the day.
ODDS $2.80 @ Bet365.
Race 6 No 4 CHAROSSA
Has had very little go his way this campaign in the way of bad luck whilst also running into most unsuitable Heavy tracks. Expect leads or at the very worse settles handy, having done no work from his ideal draw, on what just appears a slow tempo. Simply can’t see how these can give this bloke a start and a beating having been able to steal some expected cheap early sectionals. The icing on the cake is the fact Jason Holder jumps back aboard for this first time this campaign having had a terrific affinity with Charossa having finished in the money in four of his five rides aboard. Seriously won’t get many better opportunities than this to break back into the winners stall and making him the days best bet at the opening $3.20.
ODDS $3.20 @ Bet365.
Race 7 No 12 LAGERFELD Concede this Victorian visitor was an abject failure first-up however have put a line through that run when simply didn’t go a yard in the Heavy conditions. For the sheer fact he started a well supported favourite against some more than handy runners gives us more than enough reasons to give him another chance, especially now he gets into what appears an extremely winnable race on best ratings down on the minimum. Expect he leads or settles handy on just a moderate tempo and gives supporters a terrific sight at the seemingly extremely generous $10 opening odds. BET: EACH-WAY
ODDS $10.0 @ TAB.
Race 8 No 8 BOLT I AM
Relatively lightly raced, David Jolly trained rising six year old, that has had nothing go his way, yet still been far from disgraced in both runs this time in. Expect now peaks for this third-up, especially having also had the two trials under his belt leading into his first-up run. Suggest the quick back-up is a big positive whilst also drawn to do little work on the fence. Bumps into the promising Suplex City ($1.90) here however suggest that galloper will be conceding most of his rivals here a start, at rock bottom odds hence have gone looking for value! Although far from a good thing and concede will need that ounce of luck that has been deserting him, reckon the opening $15 reads as a terrific each-way gamble to round out the program.
ODDS $15.0 @ Bet365.
