Big 6 (Sat)

Big 6 – June 4

Last week’s Big 6 was another week of no winners with 3 placings the best we could muster. Frustrating stuff.

Onto this week:

:one: Flemington R3 #1 AGREEABLE
:two: Flemington R8 #3 HARBOUR VIEWS
:three: Flemington R9 #9 PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE

:four: Rosehill R7 #10 SOLAR APEX
:five: Eagle Farm R10 #2 INGRATIATING
:six: Morphettville R3 #1 AQUAPISHE

Great chase/ win fresh. She has won her last two 2nd-up and Shen she draws a gate (like today) they settle her first few. Has 60kg after claims but is better than F&M 78 class for mine. $7 looks juicy.

Has had 3 trials in prep for his first up assault here and last campaign he beat AYRTON when resuming over this distance at this track. He’s at the pointy end of the weights now but the likely soft track will help him as will John Allen jumping back aboard. He looks a good each way chance.

Undefeated in 2 starts. Won with a leg in the air on debut at WERR on the soft. Last start at PAKM was throttled down last 150 to win comfortably. Arguably could have won by 5L+. From a middle draw can settle wherever he wants.

(Champion Bets)

Finished 4th last start over 1500 after winning first up over 1600. Drops nicely in weight here with the claim and gets out to a more suitable distance. Proven on a wet track and has never missed a place when 3rd up.

Comes into this freshened and does have an excellent fresh record of 8: 3-3-0 (combined first-up and second-up runs). Yet to win at 1200m but loads of pace in this race, will be a backmarker and should be flying down the outside. A firmer track also plays into his sweet spot.

Lloyd Kennewell’s only visitor at this meeting. Thought this bloke displayed plenty of promise at his first two starts (formlines have since stacked up big time). Pulled up with issues and subsequently spelled only failure. Further confidence booster is his only career win came on a Soft 7! Wide gate no issues as expect he crosses and leads these. Prepped for this with two solid jump-outs. Given any natural improvement reckon he has potentially a few lengths on these hence simply cant believe the opening price….rates $2.80 in our book!
