Big 6 – July 23
Last week we found 2 winners – Horrifying (3.50) and Squid Game (2.00), which was almost enough for a chop out.
Onto this week:
Caulfield R2 #8 BOOGIE DANCER
Caulfield R5 #3 NO EFFORT
Caulfield R7 #2 CHAIN OF LIGHTNING
Randwick R8 #12 JOJO WAS A MAN
Randwick R10 #9 SUNRISE RUBY
Morphettville R2 #3 CASHIN’ CHEX
CAULFIELD
R2 #8 BOOGIE DANCER
Won a mid week race last start over 1300m in the style of a horse going places. Jamie Kah sticks and in a race with not much exposed form, she looks the one to beat.
R7 #2 CHAIN OF LIGHTNING
Unbeaten filly which led and walked in on her first start for Moody in a very impressive time. Gets a similar set-up again here in fillies class at 1200m.
RANDWICK
R8 #12 JOJO WAS A MAN
Was a close 2nd here last start behind the in-form TAKSU after being wide the entire race. He’s drawn to get a soft run on speed here, has a win at the distance, 2 wins at the track a win and a 2nd placing on heavy ground and will be at the peak of his fitness for this race.
R10 #9 SUNRISE RUBY
Weaved through and very strong to line (clear race-fastest last 200m) here fresh behind Lady Brook. She won her only other 2nd-up run. To 1200m suits with little weight swing. Top pick.
MORPHETTVILLE
R2 #3 CASHIN’ CHEX
Has seriously grown a leg since joining new Stable finishing in the money all five starts including saluting on two occasions. Admittedly this is his toughest test to date however that is negated by the fact he only has to carry 53.5kg. Ben Price retains the mount (rode him a treat when winning last start). Maps to settle not too far off them with small field another positive. Reckon opening $3 reads real generous….rates $2.25.
