Adelaide Racing Tips – Saturday Oct 24

You’ve come to the right place for Adelaide Racing Tips. Our Expert has been specialising in Adelaide for many years now and he loves a longshot with the profits to show for it.

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 1 no 2 RENEGADE (Best Bet)
  • Race 4 no 4 MR STYLISH
  • Race 8 no 11 LADY PAVLI CHENKO
  • Race 9 no 3 VIDUKA

#1 – Race 1 no 2 RENEGADE (Best Bet)

Starting the day off with a big go at one we reckon is close to a good thing. Thought this McEvoy galloper was outstanding just last week when had absolutely nothing go his way, yet still kept hitting the line when runner-up behind the in-form, The Difference. Two previous efforts when on the quick back-up have both been terrific, including last time impressive win. Drops 1.5kg here in a race which is definitely easier whilst definitely no knocks with ‘Stubby’ jumping aboard rising to preferred trip. Reckon the opening $2.15 actually reads as outstanding value considering we have him rated $1.75.

#2 – Race 4 no 4 MR STYLISH

Think this Phillip Stokes trained four year old gelding profiles perfectly to peak here fourth-up. Last start was asked to lump 62kg whilst covered ground throughout when still beaten less than a length. Drops 3kg here whilst gains the services of Todd Pannell, mapping to enjoy the gun trail sitting off what looks to be a solid tempo up front. In a race where we are also keen to oppose the opening fav, Exalted Traveller ($3.20)….has a 7% win strike rate!….think the opening $5.50 about our bloke each way reads as terrific value.

#3 – Race 8 no 11 LADY PAVLI CHENKO

Underrated Shane Oxlade trained four year old mare that comes into this off a most uncharacteristic ‘shocker’. Two previous efforts this time in, thought were terrific efforts despite not having things go her way, including second-up 0.3L 2nd behind the smart Lakhani Rose, despite never being on the track. Admittedly don’t mind backing up on runners that come off a run that was simply too bad to be true and if she can recapture that rating two starts back we have this mare giving this race an almighty shake. On top of that now gets in down on the minimum whilst the icing on the cake is the price…..market has totally overreacted in our opinion and simply find the current $16 impossible to pass up.

#4 – Race 9 no 3 VIDUKA

Lightly raced David Balfour trained five year old gelding that is capable of producing big figures. Comes into this off a six week freshen-up when gave the highly promising Instant Celebrity a huge scare when grabbed right on the line. That followed a terrific first-up effort when made up a ton of ground late when returning from lengthy 68 week lay-off. Prefer this bloke ridden more quiet early which appears the likely scenario here with a stack of pace engaged up front. Given even luck think this bloke is simply good for these and we are getting $2.80 for our money….betting up!

Adelaide Racing Tips – Saturday Oct 17

You’ve come to the right place for Adelaide Racing Tips. Our Expert has been specialising in Adelaide for many years now and he loves a longshot with the profits to show for it.

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 3 no 8 RESURGE
  • Race 5 no 10 HE WILL BOOM
  • Race 6 no 8 COLLECTABLE (Best Bet)
  • Race 9 no 12 OH PLEASE DIANNA

#1 – Race 3 no 8 RESURGE

Open race however more than happy to side with the McEvoy/Vorster combination with this bloke coming into off the back of some relatively unlucky efforts against similar company. What’s more he holds a weight advantage of most of his rivals here getting in down on the minimum. Drawn to do no work hence just requires that even luck in running to be right in the finish and we are getting $8.50 for our money. One we will be playing on a 1*3 win/place ratio.

#2 – Race 5 no 10 HE WILL BOOM

Our speculative play of the day. Openly admit this bloke can be extremely frustrating however if able to produce his best this gelding rates a genuine chance, especially fresh when he invariably races well. After young Caboche’s claim this bloke gets in with absolutely no weight with just 52kg, a sharp decrease on what he was mostly asked to carry in his races last campaign. Simply don’t expect this bloke to start at his current $18 opening price hence recommend taking now on a 1*3 win/place ratio.

#3 – Race 6 no 8 COLLECTABLE (Best Bet)

Think we have found a cracking investment here with this Robbie Griffiths trained visitor profiling enormously against these. If one puts a line through only two disappointing efforts which both came when stepped up in trip which clearly she didn’t get, her form around that reads super honest against much tougher company than what she meets here. Only previously run here at the track was against Group One company hence obviously totally overlooking that effort and considering she has been previously tried three times against Black-type company it must be said this mare appears absolutely thrown in against this very moderate BM58 affair. Drawn ideally to do no work whilst gains the services of Todd Pannell. Most interestingly is the fact this is Stables only representative here at Morphettville. Absolutely astounded she has opened $5.50 here hence recommend opening up the purse strings and betting up!!

#4 – Race 9 no 12 OH PLEASE DIANNA

Impeccably bred being out of former speed merchant and Magic Millions winner in Karuta Queen. Peaks for this having been fitted with two more than solid efforts since resuming, the latest when clearly not appreciating the Heavy going. Despite meeting some handy types still appears to have found her right race here third-up, getting in just 1kg above the minimum with Barend Vorster jumping aboard whilst having faired ideally at the barrier draw. Expect this mare to be obviously right in the finish yet has gone up $7.50….really looks a terrific each-way investment to finish the program.

Adelaide Racing Tips – Saturday Oct 10

You’ve come to the right place for Adelaide Racing Tips. Our Expert has been specialising in Adelaide for many years now and he loves a longshot with the profits to show for it.

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 1 no 7 KAYSERI
  • Race 2 no 4 LAKHANI ROSE (Best Bet)
  • Race 6 no 5 ARAY OF SUNSHINE
  • Race 8 no 7 SALOME

#1 – Race 1 no 7 KAYSERI

Pretty keen we can start the day on a winning note with this Richard & Chantelle Jolly trained four year old gelding profiling to give this a big shake. Admittedly doesn’t win out of turn however also rarely too far away in his races having only missed the money on four occasions. Defeated the in-form Alsvior hands down two starts back yet meets that galloper a further 5kg better here!! Drops a massive 7kg after Jessica Eaton’s claim whilst looks to get race run to suit with a genuine tempo up front. Think he will get the last shot at the leaders here and finish right over the top of them with the light weight. Has opened $3.50 which also appeals. Jacobite Prince ($4) the danger!

#2 – Race 2 no 4 LAKHANI ROSE (Best Bet)

Have a huge opinion of this David Jolly trained mare, so much so that it certainly wouldn’t surprise to see her venturing across the border, and being extremely competitive in much stronger Black-type races later in the Spring. Returned with a bang, scoring a huge win fresh, when displayed her usual big sprint, producing final splits that only quality gallopers are capable of. Gets her preferred rider back aboard with Kayla Crowther returning to the saddle whilst step up to 1200m is also a further big positive. Not only that gets in now with no weight dropping a massive 5kg whilst the icing on the cake is the opening $3.50 which makes her the days best bet! Ef Troop ($6.50) the expected big improver.

#3 – Race 6 no 5 ARAY OF SUNSHINE

Although this Country trained mare is finding it hard to break through again suggest she has never raced better. Thought this mare may have been somewhat of a risk at the mile last start however her run was a cracker after making good late ground in what was a strong on-tempo biased race. To run the winner, Somerset Maugham (should win race 3!) to just 0.4L really was a run full of merit. Previous to that was beaten just 3L against Listed company! In a race hardly full of much depth think she presents really well here at the opening $4.80.

#4 – Race 8 no 7 SALOME

Interesting ex-Maher/Eustace galloper having first start for Clarken Stable. Admittedly hasn’t been one to win out of turn having just the one victory to her name however also rarely too far in her races either having placed on a further eight occasions. The last time this mare ventured to South Australia she started hard in the market and placed in a much tougher BM72 affair. Since then form has been thwarted by wet tracks however has still been finishing close-up. Gets a couple of gear changes including the addition of tongue tie for the first time whilst maps to enjoy a nice run sitting handy. Has already had some early specking with $9.50 not lasting long and suggest this mare looks to be one of the better plays on the program at odds each-way.

Adelaide Racing Tips – Saturday Oct 3

You’ve come to the right place for Adelaide Racing Tips. Our Expert has been specialising in Adelaide for many years now and he loves a longshot with the profits to show for it.

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 1 no 5 WINGS OF PASTRAMI (Best Bet)
  • Race 5 no 6 COSMIC RHAPSODY
  • Race 8 no 5 GOING GAGA
  • Race 9 no 8 LADY PAVLI CHENKO

#1 – Race 1 no 5 WINGS OF PASTRAMI (Best Bet)

Well above average mare that wasn’t disgraced when beaten 2L over unsuitable 1100m trip when resuming. Beaten a pimple second-up last campaign despite never being on the track against Listed company! Subsequently was also extremely competitive against Black-type company last campaign. Rises to much preferred 1400m whilst expect settles a lot closer from ideal rails draw, especially with the blinkers going on for the first time. Admittedly bumps into a real in-form type in the way of Aqueduct ($1.80) however this is by far the toughest race the favourite has contested whilst our selection is more than proven against tougher company. Think she rates an outstanding investment at opening $4.80.

#2 – Race 5 no 6 COSMIC RHAPSODY

Think this bloke presents as one of the days big watch runners on the program resuming here for new Stable. Prepared to totally put a line through his last campaign after seemingly losing all confidence after clipping heels, dislodging rider in the process when resuming last time in. Previous to that won so impressively first-up campaign prior. Also taking the engagement of Holder here as a big positive. Admittedly does tackle some promising sprinters here however this bloke if anywhere near right simply doesn’t look a $13 chance hence more than happy to speck each-way.

#3 – Race 8 no 5 GOING GAGA

Despite not having cracked it for a win, suggest new Stable have this bloke going as well as ever with only better luck the difference between him breaking through again. Comes off a four week freshen-up when just found the 1950m a fraction too far when still far from disgraced last start. Returns back to more suitable distance/grade and suggest looks another cracking each-way bet at opening $10.

#4 – Race 9 no 8 LADY PAVLI CHENKO

Reckon this Shane Oxlade mare is extremely underrated whilst has come back as well as ever producing two cracking efforts since resuming. First-up only got warm late when beaten just 2.2L behind Taken Off, hitting the line better than anything! Second-up, it took the smart Lakhani Rose (every chance of going to Melbourne and collecting some Black-type this Spring) to knock her off late when beaten just 0.3L. Won third-up last campaign whilst expect the step up to 1250m with Kayla Crowther hopping aboard to both be ideal. What’s more again looks to be flying under the radar with the opening $7 representing terrific each-way value.

Adelaide Racing Tips – Saturday Sep 26

You’ve come to the right place for Adelaide Racing Tips. Our Expert has been specialising in Adelaide for many years now and he loves a longshot with the profits to show for it.

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 4 no 5 EXALTED TRAVELLER
  • Race 5 no 7 STREETCAR STRANGER
  • Race 7 no 5 VIEIRA
  • Race 9 no 5 EQUUS D’ORO

#1 – Race 4 no 5 EXALTED TRAVELLER

This bloke may now be a 7yo however suggest is racing as well as ever despite still not winning out of turn. Expect goes straight to the front and leads these for fun whilst simply loving the fact Stable have elected to claim with this in-form, young Jessica Eaton jumping aboard. A repeat rating of runner-up effort three starts back behind Allusion here this track/distance has him winning this…..comfortably! If ever he is going to score again then this is it with all stars looking to line up whilst more than happy with the opening $4.

#2 – Race 5 no 7 STREETCAR STRANGER

Must admit attempted to look from all angles to find an excuse to oppose this bloke however at the end of the day keep coming back to him….with even further confidence. Comes off a super impressive 2.5L win over Viduka with those formlines obviously since stacking up huge for this with Viduka subsequently beaten a pimple by South Australia’s next big thing in Instant Celebrity. Also not forgetting previously this bloke finished runner-up in the Listed Lightning, behind the also highly promising Parlophone. Certain to find this easier yet still plummets in the weights surely makes him close to a good thing with the opening $3.10 the absolute icing on the cake.

#3 – Race 7 no 5 VIEIRA

This is our throw at the stumps bet at massive odds. Grows another leg around the Parks circuit missing the placing just the three times from 12 attempts over this track/distance. Obviously expecting this bloke to be the big improver with his placing three starts back here reading more than competitive for this. Obviously no good thing in what is an extremely open affair however suggest the opening $51 are simply crazy and must be specked at the outrageous overs.

#5 – Race 9 no 5 EQUUS D’ORO

Only average fresh however always prepared to forgive an ordinary run at the awkward Oakbank track. Second-up last campaign started a well supported favourite before leading all the way, bolting in against slightly tougher company. Is 1 from 2 this track/distance whilst drawn to do little work, giving another big sight, going straight to the front. Also suggest better suited stepping up to the 1250m where he can steal some cheaper early sectionals. The best part is the opening $10 which makes this bloke an outstanding each-way investment. Another worth including at odds is Star Of Monsoon ($13) dropping in grade.

Adelaide Racing Tips – Saturday Sep 19

You’ve come to the right place for Adelaide Racing Tips. Our Expert has been specialising in Adelaide for many years now and he loves a longshot with the profits to show for it.

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 1 no 3 SOMERSET MAUGHAM
  • Race 5 no 8 BUONA SERA
  • Race 6 no 1 LAKHANI ROSE
  • Race 8 no 4 EF TROOP
  • Race 9 no 9 VIDUKA (Best Bet)

#1 – Race 1 no 3 SOMERSET MAUGHAM

Interestingly this Danny O’Brien visitor is Stables only acceptor for the meeting having also been nominated for an even easier race on Sunday back at Ballarat. Obviously if this bloke makes the trip will be taking that as a huge indicator to chances here. Comes into this off a most impressive 3.5L all the way win and would expect this bloke to again find the front against these without any issue whatsoever. Actually drops 1.5kg here and with Todd Pannell taking the ride expect him to be horribly hard to run down. Simply wins on his last start rating hence reckon the opening $2.25 is actually value.

#2 – Race 5 no 8 BUONA SERA

Lightly raced Hayes/Dabernig filly that appears ideally placed in this just moderate BM60 affair. Two starts back was just tipped off by the promising Dirty Thoughts (since Listed placed) obviously reads huge for this. Was then nearly four weeks between runs when stepping up to 1300m before peaking on run final 100m. Drop back in grade/trip obviously appeals and another with Todd Pannell aboard expect this filly to lead these a merry dance from barrier to box. Unlike all of these still has a stack of upside and will be especially disappointed if she couldn’t put these away….looks a nice bet at current $2.40.

#3 – Race 6 no 1 LAKHANI ROSE

Relatively lightly raced David Jolly trained mare resuming. Considering we rate this mare a possible future Black-type winner one would be expecting he to give a race of this nature a big shake. Capable of producing some of the biggest final sectionals in South Australia, that’s including all grades with her only drawback being can does invariably concede big starts in her races. Pretty sure Stable would want to see her run well here to pursue a trip to Melbourne for some much bigger Spring spoils. Concede will need things to go her way however more than happy to find out at the juicy $6 being offered in opening markets.

#4 – Race 8 no 4 EF TROOP

Good race and think it is a lot more open than what market is initially trying to make us believe with Garner appearing poison odds at opening $1.85. Think the McEvoy yard have given a clear indication they are aiming this bloke at a first-up tilt coming into this off the back of two terrific trials with formlines since stacking up huge through both trials. Beaten 0.5L by Bella Vella in first trial before beating home Instant Celebrity certainly gives the indication he is flying whilst drawn to enjoy the run of the race. Think the opening $9 reads as outstanding each-way value!

#5 – Race 9 no 9 VIDUKA (Best Bet)

Went within a ‘bees you know what’ of landing readers a big win at odds just last week before being grabbed right on the line by the highly, highly impressive winner, Instant Celebrity. Obviously expecting those formlines to stand up huge for this whilst now expect will be close to peak fitness third-up from a lengthy spell. Unfortunately no double figures on offer but expect this will still be a somewhat consolation prize from that sickening beat. As mentioned last week think this bloke has an abundance of ability and happy to cash in at the opening $4. One to include at big value however is Magna Bella ($19)….expect will be charging late fresh!

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 4 no 3 AKKACAN
  • Race 7 no 5 HINCHPIN (Best Bet)
  • Race 8 no 10 JUST CHIPPING AWAY
  • Race 9 no 7 VIDUKA

#1 – Race 4 no 3 AKKACAN

Keeps finding his way into our selections because he keeps going around big overs despite flying, however is also seriously overdue for a change of luck. Comes off another terrific 1.1L 4th against much better sprinters than these just last week despite again finding trouble. Backed from $8 into $4.80 similar race two starts back hence why the opening $10 here simply makes no sense. Drawn to do no work…..just however will need things to go his way. More than happy to find out at the opening big overs….simply can’t see him starting that price hence why he is again another good bet. Having said that must include Sunmate that has also opened $10.

#2 – Race 7 no 5 HINCHPIN (Best Bet)

Relatively lightly raced trained McEvoy gelding that resumed from having nearly a year on the sidelines on a very Heavy track and despite blowing sharply in the betting was far from disgraced when still a well beaten 2nd. Expect this bloke to have taken huge improvement from that run whilst also remembering he was most competitive in only two Black-type starts last campaign. Previously G3 runner-up in SA Sires Produce he really does appear extremely well in, in this just moderate BM68 affair. Barend Vorster jumps back aboard and although still wouldn’t be fully wound up seriously wouldn’t need to be to still give this a big shake yet has opened up an extremely generous $5.50….best bet!

#3 – Race 8 no 10 JUST CHIPPING AWAY

Comes into this off a couple of luckless, yet still very good efforts having found trouble at the start on both occasions. Much better suited when ridden a lot closer, something we expect will happen here from the good draw. Expect recent formlines to more than stack up here whilst drops significantly in the weights getting in down on the minimum. Reckon can give supporters a terrific sight and simply impossible to let go each-way at the massive $17 on offer.

#4 – Race 9 no 7 VIDUKA

If ever connections deserve to be rewarded for their patience it would be the owners of this more than handy gelding that resumed last start after spending a lengthy 64 weeks on the sidelines. Previous formlines stack up strongly having been more than competitive behind now Open class sprinters. As betting indicated was clearly not anywhere near his best first-up however rattled off the closing sectionals of a horse going places, taking late ground off recent Listed placegetter. Expect will have derived plenty for having had the hit-out whilst remembering this bloke scored a terrific win at only previous second-up run. Admittedly does meet some handy types here however no way in the world should he be $11 and rates as another terrific each-way value play.

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 2 no 2 COLUMBIA
  • Race 3 no 5 PIMM’S PARTY (Best Bet)
  • Race 4 no 3 KISHSTAR
  • Race 7 no 9 GOING GAGA

===

#1 – Race 2 no 2 COLUMBIA

Will Clarken trained sprinter that has admittedly just taken that extra run this campaign to get to somewhere near his best. Thought there was however more than enough in his last start effort to suggest he is ready to peak and if that’s the case this appears an extremely winnable race. Tempo up front looks strong which is ideal whilst did win his only previous start here this track/dist. Obviously Todd Pannell is always a positive and at the $8.50 think he is clearly the best value in the race (rates $4.50).

#2 – Race 3 no 5 PIMM’S PARTY (Best Bet)

MacDonald/Gluyas filly that couldn’t have been anymore impressive when blowing her rivals away to score a comfortable all the way 3L win, landing some good wages in the process. Has race fitness on all of her rivals except the $101 rank outsider, with every other starter resuming. Drops back from 1200m to the 1000m here however given the good natural speed that she displayed on debut can’t see that being an issue here. Seriously thought they would open this filly $1.80 hence more than happy with the current $2.60.

#3 – Race 4 no 3 KISHSTAR

Resumes here from a lengthy 43 week spell however appears primed for a first-up tilt coming into this off the back of two very nice trials. Obviously like all of these is still a maiden however having been placed in 4/5 race starts still think this mare has a bright future. Remembering she has been extremely competitive behind some gallopers that have since gone on to much better things, a race of this nature reads terrific. The recent Listed runner-up Streetcar Stranger is a good example with this mare beating that galloper home in her last two starts! With Jason Holder doing the steering just can’t see her missing each-way with the opening $6.50 making plenty of appeal.

#4 – Race 7 no 9 GOING GAGA

Think this 7yo gelding is going as well as ever, obviously appreciating his new surroundings since joining this Stable this campaign. Although not winning has been finding the line strongly in his recent efforts over the mile with subsequent formlines reading strong for this. Although unproven over this longer trip does give every impression it should suit whilst not forgetting he drops 4kg getting in superbly down on the minimum. Admittedly this is an open race however think bloke at the opening $9.50 represents a terrific gamble. Best ratings has him giving this a massive shake….rates $5.50 in our book!

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 1 no 4 SO YOU CAN (Best Bet)
  • Race 2 no 1 ICE GHOST
  • Race 8 no 1 CHUCKY
  • Race 9 no 12 KAYSERI

===

#1 – Race 1 no 4 SO YOU CAN (Best Bet)

Admittedly on face value was a fraction disappointing when going down as a beaten favourite first-up however came away convinced this So You Think gelding is now screaming out for longer than 1100m. Displayed significant improvement between his first and second runs when also in work when producing a most impressive 2.9L win when also stepping up to 1250m at only run this track. Maps to settle a lot closer and be simply too strong…..think the opening $3.80 is simply stealing money-best bet!!

#2 – Race 2 no 1 ICE GHOST

Honest Gordon Richards trained gelding that looked home before being grabbed right on the line just last week in a very similar race. On that occasion was also ridden a lot more positive settling up on the pace, something we hope Stable employ similar tactics here. Love the fact connections have elected to claim, getting in 2kg lighter this week. Obviously now rock-hard fit on the seven day back-up and also noting won fourth-up last campaign. Think the opening $4.40 is more than appealing and expect this bloke to give followers a real run for their money again. Respecting big time and will at least be saving on Puissance Dusoleil ($5.50).

#3 – Race 8 no 1 CHUCKY

Five year old gelding that has obviously had his issues however expect would have derived plenty for having now had the two runs back from a lengthy 68 week break. Has found the line nicely in both runs including latest, slashing runner-up effort when clearly found the 1100m too short. Indicated promise when last in work including far from disgraced 4.9L effort when thrown into a red-hot Listed Redelva Stks. Steps up to far more suitable 1300m trip here whilst also hoping may just be able to settle a lot closer from good draw. Must say I’m stunned he has opened $6 in this and given even luck expect him to give this an almighty shake.

#4 – Race 9 no 12 KAYSERI

Richard Jolly trained four year old that is bursting to break through again coming into this off the back of three strong runner-up efforts. The likelihood of a Good track is a massive positive as his best form is clearly on top of the ground. Admittedly will need luck in running as he can concede his rivals a start however simply isn’t entitled to be $12 in this. At the odds think this bloke is in fact one of the better bets on the program-each way! Also keen to be specking Just Chipping Away at the opening $14.

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 1 no 1 TAKEN OFF
  • Race 5 no 2 PELOTON (Best Bet)
  • Race 6 no 7 CARLALUISA
  • Race 7 no 3 AKKACAN
  • Race 8 no 11 MUNTHAM MISSILE

===

#1 – Race 1 no 1 TAKEN OFF

Have been eagerly awaiting the return of this lightly raced Phillip Stokes trained gelding after displaying plenty of promise in his first campaign. Simply loved his recent trial when never asked for an effort before closing nicely when narrowly missing. Blew his rivals away when scoring with ease only other fresh run. Kayla Crowther’s only race ride (she also rode recent trial) she steered this bloke home when simply too good for the Open class runners in Little Rich Boy/Thompson’s Reward! Those formlines read huge for this and expect him to blow these away with some ease-the opening $2.70 suggest looks fantastic shopping!

#2 – Race 5 no 2 PELOTON (Best Bet)

Ex-Kiwi galloper now in the Michael Hickmott Stable. Tackled some pretty handy company over in NZ having already competed in four Black-type races. Despite having shown best form to date over at least a mile this bloke was sent out favourite when resuming against mainly Open class gallopers over 1400m. What’s more he lead on what was a strong tempo and gave a huge sight before his fitness ran out final 100m, beaten 3.1L. Expect he will have derived plenty for having had his first Australian run dropping back to a lowly BM68 affair stepping up to more ideal trip, especially when he gets up in trip. All three career wins have come on rain affected going-tipping this bloke a good thing yet has opened an incredible $5….betting up!!

#3 – Race 6 no 6 CARLALUISA

Comes into this off a much overdue/confidence boosting win against admittedly inferior company. Two starts prior to that placed behind Silverhawk/Nasifa which suggests reads huge for this, especially considering that race has already subsequently produced seven winners! Stubby Holder retains the ride where he should be able to position this mare to do little work from good draw. Most importantly just loves the sting out of the ground where she is yet to miss placings from six previous runs. At the opening $8.50 think she presents as a cracking each-way investment.

#4 – Race 7 no 3 AKKACAN

We unsuccessfully specked this bloke at odds when he let us down last start however for those that can forgive that effort suggest his previous efforts read terrific for this. Returns back to his home track, drops back to probably preferred 1050m whilst simply won’t know himself in a lowly BM58 affair. Also more than adept to rain affected going, think market has unfairly potted this bloke with the opening $10 reading as impossible to ignore. With the winkers coming off think he more than deserves a second chance each-way.

#5 – Race 8 no 11 MUNTHAM MISSILE

Country trained galloper that has found an extremely winnable, substandard City race. Comes into this off a narrow defeat when just pipped by subsequent winner Classy Joe. After the claim drops a massive 7.5kg whilst also returns to much preferred rain affected going. In fact four of her five wins have come in the wet including two on the Heavy and tipping come race 8, track will certainly be testing. Far from a good thing however also impossible to ignore at the opening $12 also on an each-way basis…..suggest she should be about half that price!

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 2 no 4 COFFEE AMOUR
  • Race 3 no 2 VIEIRA
  • Race 4 no 3 HASTA LA FIORENTE (Best Bet)
  • Race 6 no 2 PUISSANCE DUSOLEIL

===

#1 – Race 2 no 4 COFFEE AMOUR

More than happy to keep following this mare after we specked her at odds last start when far from disgraced, finishing runner-up behind the flying Territory Titan (has won four straight!). Peaks for this fourth-up stepping up to a trip she is expected to relish whilst obviously sure to appreciate the 3.5kg drop in weight. Displayed more than enough staying promise when last in work and looks to get her chance to break through again. Looks a pretty safe each-way investment at $5.50 to start off the day.

#2 – Race 3 no 2 VIEIRA

Suggest this bloke is going much better than form initially reads on paper, especially since returning from a freshen-up. In fact suggest he is much better suited here than latest close-up efforts and have no doubts would give this a big shake if only able to replicate those ratings. Obviously a big watch on the Freedman visitor here in Deep Dive ($2.25) however is unknown stepping up to this company hence is far too short in our book. Maps to enjoy a lovely trail sitting just off leaders and simply don’t expect her to miss each-way at the opening $6.

#3 – Race 4 no 3 HASTA LA FIORENTE (Best Bet)

Hasn’t had too much go her way in two runs since scoring (also overcame problems on that occasion). The latest was more her doing when refused to settle when stepping up to this trip for the first time last start when still nearly won. Expect to have derived plenty for having had that initial run over the 2500m whilst Barend Vorster again sticks. In a race where there looks to be only one danger in Exalted Ruth ($3.50) and where there must be a query about that mare getting 2500m more than happy to declare our selection as the days best bet and certainly happy with the opening $2.80.

#4 – Race 6 no 2 PUISSANCE DUSOLEIL

Have plenty of time for this lightly raced mare and certain we have yet to see the best of her given we think she is more than capable of adding some Black-type to her resume. Produced a cracking first-up run behind the smart Perfect Route last campaign and given she resumes here over 1506m we are more than respecting the fact Stable may have her even more advanced this campaign. Loved her recent trial when hard held, beaten just 0.4L behind the rock-hard fit, Open class galloper in Andrea Mantegna. Gets in just 3kg above the minimum after young Teagan Voorham’s claim against a field which hardly oozes quality. Real keen especially given she has opened $5.50.

Saturday @ Murray Bridge:
  • Race 2 no 5 AKKACAN
  • Race 3 no 7 STAR OF MONSOON
  • Race 4 no 1 MAY BE FATE (Best Bet)
  • Race 5 no 3 NASIFA

===

#1 – Race 2 no 5 AKKACAN

Now nine year old that has returned in great heart this campaign. Basically given no hope the race was run last start however still caught the eye late when producing near best race final sectionals. Three previous placings also read well for this whilst drops back in grade getting in with just 54.5kg after the claim. Maps to settle a lot closer with the winkers going back on whilst love the fact Stable have elected to step him up to the 1200m. Reckon the opening $10 reads as outstanding each way overs.

#2 – Race 3 no 7 STAR OF MONSOON

Tipped readers into this bloke last week and still shaking my head as he ran into more backsides than one would at Mardi Gras hence obviously totally overlooking run. Expect will find this slightly easier again whilst importantly gets race run ideally to suit with a stack of pressure engaged up front. Obviously should have no excuses with the long run home also an advantage whilst the icing on the cake is the massive positive rider change with Barend Vorster engaged to ride. Certainly worth backing up again at the opening $7 each-way.

#3 – Race 4 no 1 MAY BE FATE (Best Bet)

Both runs/placings since resuming have been terrific efforts having covered plenty of extra ground on each occasion. Surely only strips fitter here peaking third-up whilst step up to 1400m appears ideal. Maps perfectly sitting handy just off pace enjoying a much more favourable run whilst has incredibly opened a staggering $8.50. At that quote we have no hesitation in declaring this bloke comfortably the best investment of the meeting considering we have him rated $3.75!

#4 – Race 5 no 3 NASIFA

Should arguably be shooting for winning hattrick having been most unlucky in her two most recent efforts. Slight drop in grade an obvious positive here whilst drawn to do no work, mapping ideally handy just off leaders. Stepping back up to the 1200m also another positive and after the claim think this mare gets in great against these with 56kg. Rates $2.80 in our markets hence why we are real keen at the opening $3.50.

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 1 no 5 THE MULTIPLIER (Best Bet)
  • Race 2 no 8 DOUBLE BLUE
  • Race 3 no 7 STAR OF MONSOON
  • Race 5 no 7 CALL ME CURTIS
  • Race 7 no 3 COFFEE AMOUR

===

#1 – Race 1 no 5 THE MULTIPLIER

Will Clarken trained debutant that looked every bit the part when getting up to score narrowly defeated the promising Theresabearinthere (has won 2/3 & starting favourite in much tougher race over at Moonee Valley). What’s more did it under his own steam scoring in good time, one comparative to the open class gallopers. Meets what one could really best describe as some pretty mediocre types and with Todd Pannell aboard expect this bloke to be simply winning. Actually pleasantly surprised by the opening $2.35 and wouldn’t at at all surprise to see him start in the red….betting early!

#2 – Race 2 no 8 DOUBLE BLUE

Frustratingly is a ten start maiden galloper however has run some more than handy races during that time having been competitive behind some gallopers now racing in much better races. Has finished runner-up three times which include 2/2 starts this campaign. Obviously knocking on the door big time whilst also noting is having first start for new Stable which may just be a good thing also. Has the necessary pace to be in the firing line throughout and although far from a good thing think this mare shapes as a terrific gamble, especially on a 1×3 win/place ration.

#3 – Race 3 no 7 STAR OF MONSOON

Concede this Grant Young gelding doesn’t win out of turn however one could also hardly fault his consistency as he rarely runs a bad race. Prepared to totally overlook his run last week when comfortably held however simply had no chance the race was run with his closing sectionals comparing favourably with those that were fighting out the finish. Drops a massive 7kg after young Sophie Logans claim (she rides this bloke well!) whilst importantly gets race run ideally to suit with speed to burn up front. Convinced he is better ridden colder early and although does meet some handy sprinters think this bloke represents the clear best value ($9) in the race and is another where we will be staking on a 1×3 basis. Toughest to beat Brimarvi Vehero however currently well found at $3.10.

#4 – Race 5 no 7 CALL ME CURTIS

Another we admit doesn’t make a habit of winning however is also one that is rarely too far away in his races. Strips fitter for having had the two runs back this time in stepping up to his preferred distance, incredibly has only missed a pay cheque once in his eighteen starts this track/distance. After the claim gets in with just 54kg (2kg under the minimum) despite dropping sharply in grade when far from disgraced when condition just gave out closing stages. Again another open race however at the current $14 think this bloke is the clear best each way value in the race, again on a 1×3 basis.

#5 – Race 7 no 3 COFFEE AMOUR

Kylie Huxtable trained four year old mare that produced enormous improvement last campaign, displaying plenty of staying promise. Expect will have derived plenty for having had the two runs back including last start more than encouraging 1.8L fourth behind again subsequent strong winner Analytica. Both previous third-up runs good including last campaign strong/impressive win. Actually drops back in grade here however despite that has opened $13 being from a low profile, underrated Country Stable. Again recommend each way on a 1×3 basis.

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 1 no 6 KORODON
  • Race 4 no 3 MISS JANE (Best Bet)
  • Race 6 no 6 SO WE ARE
  • Race 8 no 5 MAY BE FATE

===

#1 – Race 1 no 6 KORODON

Admittedly yet to hit his straps this campaign however this bloke won’t ever find a better race than this to recapture best. Maps to lead these on his ear whilst gets in with no weight, unusually down on the minimum. Must be pleasing Stable as he is on the quick back-up. Obviously nearing D-Day however against what is hardly a vintage line-up of middle distance gallopers reckon this bloke represents a terrific each-way gamble at the opening $19.

#2 – Race 4 no 3 MISS JANE

Well above average and somewhat underrated Paul Seater trained mare resuming. Flies fresh having just missed the placings once which came last campaign when still far from disgraced after having no luck whatsoever. Drawn ideally to do no work and still lead or at very worst leaders back on just an even tempo, and given that scenario give an almighty kick. Drops back to a BM72 affair…..the first time in nearly three years!! Bookies have gone up $11…..get on punters this is a cracking each-way investment!!

#3 – Race 6 no 6 SO WE ARE

Must admit to specking this Phillip Stokes trained mare at juicy odds last start and although finishing just eighth beaten 3.1L thought she was still far from disgraced and certainly worth backing up on next start. After drawing wide, got a lot further back than anticipated and was simply unable to maintain her long/wide searching run when just peaking final 200m. Indicated she was a mare with a future when taking out the Listed Adelaide Guineas when last in work as well as a Listed runner-up effort in the Laelia Stakes. Actually think she will be better suited dropping back to the mile whilst placing two starts back over in Melbourne also reads terrific for this. Concede is in an extremely open line-up however just think she reads as terrific each-way value at current $13 whilst wouldn’t at all surprise to see start even longer. Also recommend having Star Status ($8.50) going for a winning result as well.

#4 – Race 8 no 5 MAY BE FATE

Thought this bloke was so brave after racing no closer than four wide, without cover, on the speed throughout to still hold on and place when resuming. Expect will have derived plenty for having had that hit-out whilst previous second-up form also reads well having placed 2/3 attempts. Again drawn out awkwardly however with not too much pace engaged under him wouldn’t surprise to see him cross and lead and/or settle close. Meets another open line-up however just think he profiles to start much shorter than the current $13 being offered around…looks another lovely each-way gamble to finish the day.

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 2 no 2 ZALMONA
  • Race 4 no 2 ROSELLI STING
  • Race 6 no 4 NIPPERKIN
  • Race 9 no 10 CARLALUISA (Best Bet)

===

#1 – Race 2 no 2 ZALMONA

Concede this bloke doesn’t make a habit of winning however if he is ever going to win another race then this is his chance and lucky for us is huge odds. In a race with very little tempo expect he will settle a lot closer than usual whilst appears particularly well placed dropping back to a BM78 affair. Reckon he will relish the longer 1400m. In what appears to be nothing more than a sit and sprint affair he may just be able to steal a break on some of these and at the $19 find it impossible not to back him at the odds….each-way all day! Defiant Dancer ($2.40) clear biggest danger however also looks well found early.

#2 – Race 4 no 2 ROSELLI STING

Another that might not win out of turn however this bloke is also rarely too far away from the placings with his current form reading more than up to these. A great example of this is the fact he is 3:0-1-2 this track/distance. Certain to appreciate drop back to 1950m when just didn’t get the trip last start, when still not far away. Hasn’t been in a BM72 for eleven starts now hence also certain to appreciate the drop in grade. Maps to do no work having drawn the fence. Seriously doesn’t need to improve much to give this a big shake yet has opened a massive $19. Having said that don’t let Korodon ($34) get under your guard and simply must also be supported at the huge odds/value!

#3 – Race 6 no 4 NIPPERKIN

Underrated six year old mare that despite finding it hard to win is racing in close to career best form. Comes into this off a typically consistent runner-up effort when still kept hitting the line after racing in the clear inferior part of the track. Prior to that hadn’t been too far away against much tougher Black-type company. Returns to her favourite track/dist where she has won four times previously. Has again flown under the radar of market assessors having opened an enticing $12. At that quote we simply must support on an each way basis.

#4 – Race 9 no 10 CARLALUISA

Reckon both runs from this mare since resuming have been terrific including latest when given no chance after inexplicably asked to concede her rivals an impossible start. Expect now peaks for this third-up where she has placed previously in all three attempts whilst now also gives every indication she should relish the extra trip. Drops back to a just moderate BM58 affair whilst drawn to do no work hopefully this time settling a lot closer to the action. Pretty confident this mare can run us a terrific race and is a must each-way investment at the opening $6. Respecting The Ant’s Pants ($6) whilst suggest No Joy ($19) is a big watch having first start for new Stable.

Adelaide Racing Tips – Saturday July 11

You’ve come to the right place for Adelaide Racing Tips. Our Expert has been specialising in Adelaide for many years now and he loves a longshot with the profits to show for it.

Saturday @ Gawler:
  • Race 5 no 2 STAR STATUS
  • Race 7 no 1 CROWN FONTEIN
  • Race 8 no 7 STATELY STAR (Best Bet)
  • Race 9 no 9 AKKACAN

===

#1 – Race 5 no 2 STAR STATUS

Thought this MacDonald/Gluyas trained four year old gelding was outstanding first-up when grabbing third in a much, much tougher/unsuitable race. Expect he will have derived plenty for having had the run whilst step up to the 1500m here is an obvious massive positive. Drops back from a BM82 to this much easier BM72 affair whilst returns to a track that he just loves (3:2-0-1). Has only missed the money once previously in four second-up runs. Map the only query with no pace engaged so obviously hoping Caitlin Jones shows enough initiative  to have this bloke not too far off them….if that is the case reckon he rates a terrific each-way gamble at the opening $10.

#2 – Race 7 no 1 CROWN FONTEIN

John Hickmott trained gelding that just ran out of condition late when still far from disgraced, beaten just 0.6L when resuming. Has a touch of class about him when right and likely strips much fitter here for having had the run. Drops 3kg here with Stable interestingly electing to claim now looking well in 4kg above the minimum. Maps to settle handy sitting just off solid tempo and at the opening $13 makes him a terrific each-way prospect.

#3 – Race 8 no 7 STATELY STAR

MacDonald/Gluyas trained three year old gelding resuming. Has indicated more than enough in his brief career to date to suggest he has a future ahead of him. Primed for this with a recent runner-up trial effort whilst last weeks impressive winner Calypso Reign finishing a further fourth lengths back more than suggesting he has returned at least as well. Gets race run to suit with tempo expected to be strong up front however think the icing on the cake is the engagement of ‘Stubby’ Holder. Simply reeks of horse that profiles to run well yet the Bookies have gone up a whopping $35! Admittedly bumps into some handy types here however we still have him rated $8 and an outstanding each-way investment.

#4 – Race 9 no 9 AKKACAN

Admittedly this bloke is now a rising nine year old however don’t let that put you off as he clearly hasn’t lost his zest for racing coming into this off the back of a couple of terrific placings. Rises to the 1200m now which we suggest will suit whilst maps to settle a lot closer, ideally likely on leaders back. Gawler no problem having placed here in four of his seven race starts. Concede this is an open race however think the opening $18 is ridiculous-should be less than half that!

Saturday @ Murray Bridge:
  • Race 4 no 3 STREETCAR STRANGER
  • Race 5 no 3 KABINI (Best)
  • Race 7 no 5 SO WE ARE
  • Race 8 no 13 CARLALUISA
  • Race 9 no 10 MUSICAL QUERY

===

#1 – Race 4 no 3 STREETCAR STRANGER

David Jolly trained three year old gelding that is on the quick back-up following last weeks comfortable 2L win. Although he meets some handy types, still think he looks even better suited here dropping back to his own age whilst the rise to 1200m presents as the massive positive. Maps to settle a lot closer with very little pressure engaged up front with most of this blokes main rivals almost certain to be spotting him a start. That being the case find it very hard seeing him being run down and suggest the opening $4.80 reads as extremely attractive.

#2 – Race 5 no 3 KABINI

Seriously underrated mare that prior to he last start failure when taken over to Melbourne, had been produced three consecutive placings, all against Black Type company! Obviously suggesting those formlines read huge for a race of this nature, yet looks likely to again go around at simply ridiculous overs having opened at an incredibly generous $8.50.In a race with very little obvious pressure engaged up front expect Tourneur to have this mare box-seating, enjoying the ideal trail. Simply impossible to ignore at the price and although concede does meet a very promising galloper in Howlowcanyougo ($3.80), expect the fav to be out to back conceding our selection a decent start. So keen we will be making her our days best at the price whilst recommending a 1 x 3 win/place ratio bet.

#3 – Race 7 no 5 SO WE ARE

Phillip Stokes trained four year old mare that admittedly comes into this having not yet found her best this time in however thought she showed enough last start to suggest she isn’t too far away. Fourth-up now expect now peaks for this whilst rise to 1800m is also another distinct positive. Indicated she was a mare with a future when taking out the Listed Adelaide Guineas when last in work as well as a Listed runner-up effort in the Laelia Stakes. This clearly much easier and although does meet the promising Eluding ($2.50) would so much rather being on our selection each-way at the currently also gross overs of $12. Simply looks the forgotten horse and another where we will be having a 1 x 3 win/place ratio bet.

#4 – Race 8 no 13 CARLALUISA

Thought this MacDonald/Gluyas trained four year old mare was far from disgraced when beaten 2.8L first-up in what was a totally unsuitable affair. Usually takes plenty of improvement for having had the run, with her second-up record reading an impressive (3:2-1-0). Rise to 1200m here ideal whilst obviously more than happy ‘Stubby Holder’ retains the ride dropping 3kg in the weights. Has enough pace to negate her wide draw and although conceding this is an open affair have no hesitation in describing the opening $18 also as extremely generous. Expect she can give us a terrific each-way sight and rates as the best value runner of the day.

#5 – Race 9 no 10 MUSICAL QUERY

Although far from a good thing it would still be amiss of me not to at least make mention of this mare having opened at the big odds of $23. Actually hasn’t been too far away in both runs since resuming, firstly when placing in a BM82 affair before finishing 3.1L away against BM72 company last start. Plummets to BM58 company here whilst expect now peaks here third-up having drawn the fence. Despite all that has definitely got under the guard of early market assessors in our opinion with the current $23 simply impossible not to touch. Won’t be going overboard however still worthy of more than a passing thought.

Adelaide Racing Tips – Saturday June 27

You’ve come to the right place for Adelaide Racing Tips. Our Expert has been specialising in Adelaide for many years now and he’s got the profits to show for it.

Saturday @ Morphettville:
  • Race 3 no 1 DEFIANT DANCER
  • Race 6 no 4 BERTWHISTLE (Best)
  • Race 7 no 6 BRIMARVI VEHERO
  • Race 9 no 11 WANAASA

===

#1 – Race 3 no 1 DEFIANT DANCER

Admit this Phillip Stokes trained gelding is starting to become an extremely frustrating conveyance however can’t knock his consistency as he is rarely too far away in his races. Was again sent out favourite last start however could hardly knock his effort as he kept chasing gamely despite covering ground throughout. Expect finds this slightly easier yet will carry 1kg less with Stable electing to claim whilst the clincher here is the speed map….drawn to enjoy the gun trail on just a modest tempo! Honestly won’t get too many better chances to break through again than this and whilst still more than happy to take the current $3 on offer.

#2 – Race 6 no 4 BERTWHISTLE

Simply must follow up on this mare after cashing in for a terrific result after she got out to a seriously insane price last start. That came off the back of a couple of terrific efforts against Black-type company including a 1.4L fourth behind Oasis Girl in the Listed AAMI Centaurea Stakes. Obviously those formlines read huge for this whilst also must stress this mare goes much better than initial wet track form initially reads on paper having been more than competitive behind better horses than these previously on affected going. Rise to 2250m we in fact suggest is the icing on the cake….reckon he will relish the longer trip. Actually opened $4.60, still reckon she rates as the days best at current $3.50!

#3 – Race 7 no 6 BRIMARVI VEHERO

Seriously consistent Sam Burford trained gelding that comes into this having picked up a cheque in each of his past start starts. Two runs back both very good, firstly placing in a good form race when resuming before last start strong win. Typically yet to miss the placings in each of his three previous third-up runs with wet track also no concerns having finished in the money in three of four attempts. Maps to get race run perfectly to suit with a stack of pressure engaged up front whilst also must acknowledge gets his favourite rider with Tourneur having a great record aboard this bloke. Reckon he will give this an almighty shake and especially keen to get involved at the current $4.20.

#4 – Race 9 no 11 WANAASA

Ryan Balfour trained mare that was backed for a stack before giving a big sight before being headed off late when resuming. This mares clear best rating came here at her only previous attempt at this track/distance where she bolted in by a mere 5.8L (a race that has since produced six subsequent winners!) whilst also noting came on a Heavy track. Drops a massive 7kg and certainly won’t lose anything with Teagan Voorham jumping aboard whilst looks to also again get conditions to suit with track expected to be extremely chopped up come the last race. Should give supporters a terrific on-pace sight with the opening $5.50 we perceive to be good each way value.

  • Race 3 no 13 SHE’S KRUPT (Best)
  • Race 5 no 2 ZALMONA
  • Race 6 no 10 NASIFA
  • Race 7 no 11 DREAMED

===

#1 – Race 3 no 13 SHE’S KRUPT

If ever there was a horse that is knocking on the door for a win it’s this Ryan Balfour trained three year old filly. Caught the eye hitting the line strongly when placing in her first two starts before settling a lot closer last start before just unable to hold out the promising Freedman trained Godolphin filly, Flirting. On top of that conceded Flirting 2kg who had also been most competitive behind some promising types over in Victoria previously. Certain finds this easier yet gets in on the minimum whilst just love the fact Stable have elected to step her up to the 1200m. Reckon the opening $5 is luxurious odds…..betting up!!

#2 – Race 5 no 2 ZALMONA

Normally a rule of mine not to back horses second-up when backing up off a seven day break however making this bloke an exception when going to the line untested when badly held-up last week…..when we were on! This absolutely no tougher whilst again looks to get in nicely after the claim. Obviously still hurting just thinking about it as he was still beaten less than a length however feeling somewhat better having seen the opening $9.50 with bookies again looking to let us on at a price. Having said that also see plenty of value in Nipperkin ($12) and will be including her in everything (each-way).

#3 – Race 6 no 10 NASIFA

Lightly raced, somewhat underrated five year old mare resuming. Flies first-up having won two of her three previous attempts whilst fresh. Maps to enjoy the gun trail from ideal draw sitting up on what looks to be just a modest tempo, especially in this class whilst gets in just 1kg above the minimum. The icing on the cake which makes this mare absolutely impossible to ignore is the simply crazy opening $23….clear best value bet of the day!! Also scared stiff of Symphonette ($6.50) and will also have it going for a winning result (each-way).

#4 – Race 7 no 11 DREAMED

Has returned nicely after simply not coming up last campaign having previously gone within a bees of winning against Group Three company. Returned to the winners list with a determined last start win under the steadier of 59kg. Simply won’t know herself here dropping a massive 5kg, whilst steps up to the trip which saw her nearly take out the Schweppervescence Stakes at this very same track. Another that looks to be extremely generous early overs at the current $11. Charossa ($9.50) is the one we expect to improve sharply and also appeals enormously dropping in grade (each-way).

Adelaide Racing Tips – Saturday June 13

You’ve come to the right place for Adelaide Racing Tips. Our Expert has been specialising in Adelaide for many years now and he’s got the profits to show for it.

Saturday @ Murray Bridge:
  • Race 2 no 10 GRABBING GLORY
  • Race 4 no 2 APPALACHIAN (Best)
  • Race 7 no 3 ZALMONA (Best value)
  • Race 8 no 9 IN HEART’S WAKE

===

#1 – Race 2 no 10 GRABBING GLORY

Admittedly not a mare that wins out of turn however also rarely too far away in her races either. Think she will have derived plenty for the run over this longer trip last start, first time this campaign. The clincher is the fact she drops a massive 7kg after the claim against what is really just a moderate lot. Bolted in by 4.8L only previous attempt this track/dist which was also on Soft going. Really shapes as a terrific e/way gamble at the opening $7.50. (each-way).

#2 – Race 4 no 2 APPALACHIAN

Despite the two wins from eight starts still no hesitation in suggesting David Jolly-trained gelding is loaded with ability. However still have plenty to learn so love the first-time addition of the tongue tie here. Despite thinking this bloke maybe ready for the longer 1200m reckon that will be negated by the fact he returns to the much more spacious Murray Bridge track. Also gets 3kg off his main rival here in Almadrava who beat him less than a length last start having had absolutely nothing go his way. If he is to win another race then surely this is it and further emphasising our confidence rates as the days best at the opening $3.10.

#3 – Race 7 no 3 ZALMONA

Admittedly another that finds it hard to win however still think this bloke is extremely underrated. He’s done most of his racing against the best open class sprinters SA has to offer in recent years including five Black-type placings. Resumes here off a twelve week break (only missed a cheque twice previously fresh). Also certainly prefers the sting out of the ground which he will also get here. Drawn to do no work whilst should also excel on this bigger track. The clincher however is the fact he gets in with just 54.5kg after the claim. This is a luxury compared to what he normally carries. Reckon at the current $10 this bloke is terrific each-way gamble. In fact, the days best value bet.

#4 – Race 8 no 9 IN HEART’S WAKE

Thought this McEvoy-trained mare was at least as good as Blow Torch when first-up, placing behind Done By Me. Blow Torch is favourite here. Totally forget she went around last week when never saw daylight when looked to be travelling beautifully. Only query maybe the step up to the mile here, a trip she has only been at once before. That was against Listed company. She may be ridden a bit quieter off what looks to be a genuine tempo. Think she actually maps to get her chance whilst more than happy to back her each-way at $8.
